Men's swim briefs
The swim brief is a Sydney classic. Some call them budgie smugglers, some call them swimming briefs or togs, and everyone has an opinion. We think a good pair is the most flattering thing you can wear at the beach.
Our swim briefs
TEAMM8 Standard Swim Brief: a timeless low-rise cut, double lined, with an internal tie-cord.
Statement Swim Brief: the all-rounder, not too thin at the side and not too wide.
Ultra Swim Brief: a standard hip cut with a logo waistband and a lined pouch. The Ultra Sports Swim Brief adds cut-out sides.
The Standard comes in black, navy, army and white, and the Statement in black, gunmetal, white, terracotta and azure, so there's a classic colour for everyone.
Common questions
How should men's swim briefs fit? Snug, with no gaps at the waist or the legs. Swimwear can relax a little once wet, so check the size guide on the product page before you choose.
What's the difference between a swim brief and a bikini swim brief? A bikini swim brief is cut higher and thinner at the hip. A classic swim brief, like the Standard or Statement, has a medium width at the side.
What are budgie smugglers? It's the Australian nickname for men's swim briefs, made famous on Sydney's beaches.
Are swim briefs good for swimming laps? Yes. They're the traditional choice for lap swimming because there's no loose fabric to drag in the water.
Want a different cut? See bikini swim briefs for a thinner side, or wide swim briefs for more coverage.
