Thongs

Men's thongs and g-strings

In the UK a thong is underwear, not footwear. A men's thong keeps the support at the front and removes everything at the back, which is why it works under tight trousers and gym shorts alike. Call it a male thong or men's g-string wear: it's thong underwear, and it's all here.

Pick by how it feels

Next to nothing: start with the Glide Micro Thong, which is a pouch, a string and a 1 cm waistband, no more. Go thinner with the Flaunt Micro Thong, whose 6 mm straps join in a triangle at the back.

All day: the Team Cotton Micro Thong is ribbed cotton with a metallic 2.5 cm waistband, and the You Bamboo Micro Thong is bamboo with a thin band and no-show coverage.

A little see-through: in the Casanova and Romeo Sheer thongs, sheer fabric flows from the pouch through the hips to a seamless g-string back. Both keep a solid, lined pouch.

Sporty: the Locker Room Thong has a wide striped waistband and a waffle weave pouch, and the Reign Thong is quick-dry modal with a metallic waistband to match.

Common questions

Is a g-string the same as a thong? Close. A g-string is just a string at the back, and a thong can carry a little more fabric. We make both, and the Romeo and Casanova thongs finish in a seamless g-string back.

Are thongs comfortable all day? Plenty of guys wear them daily. Choose cotton or bamboo for a long day, and keep the sheer pairs for a night out.

Will I see it under trousers? With no fabric across the back, there's no panel line to show under trousers or shorts.

Taking one swimming? See our men's thong swimwear. Prefer an open back? Try a men's jockstrap.
